ACCURACY

This thermometer, serial number ABC123, was compared against our
transfer standard thermometers and was found to be accurate within +/-
0.5oC at the test temperatures of 0o
& 4oC.
This calibration was performed in accordance with the procedures
outlined in ICL Procedure 01, which is based upon ASTM E-77.
This pronouncement of compliance to this accuracy tolerance was made by
resolving the indication of this thermometer (under magnification) to
1/10 of the smallest scale division, and determining that the value thus
determined resided within the stated interval. The measurement
uncertainty attributable to this observation, +/- 0.06oC,
is expressed at 2 sigma (k=2), to state the uncertainty at a 95%
confidence level.
The NIST primary reference standard thermometer referenced for this
calibration is a NIST calibrated SPRT, Rosemount model 162CE,
serial no. 5058, calibrated by NIST on May 15, 2006.
The indications of this thermometer are traceable to NIST
through an unbroken chain of comparisons. Each step of the chain is
fully documented, and measurement uncertainties have been calculated at
each step.
